At Pet Care, we run a Waist Watchers Club to provide help to any of our clients who have questions or problems with an overweight pet. This information is provided to our clients as part of our continuing commitment to improve health.
Our Pet Nutrition Advisers who run the clinics are always happy to give advice on all aspects of your pet’s dietary needs. The practice stocks a range of specially diets to aid with your pet’s weight loss if adjustments to the normal diet are unsuccessful. These are available in a tin, pouch or biscuit form.
We recommend that all pets that are on a diet have their weight checked at regular intervals – normally every two-four weeks. This is a good opportunity for you to discuss your pet’s progress with our pet nutrition advisors. Waist Watchers appointments can be booked at reception and are COMPLEMENTARY.
Reward your pet with cuddles, games and going for walks rather than with food. If you feel the need to reward with treats, you can either give some from your pet’s daily allowance or you could give raw fruit/vegetables. Encourage your pets to play more and therefore us up more energy. We recommend a re visit to the surgery for a re-weigh every three to four weeks.
Thank you so much for your care of Chewie yesterday! I also want to thank Maria and Laura for supporting my four year old, she was so upset leaving him and they really took the time to talk to her and make her feel at ease! He is very happy at home now and back to his old self! Thank you so much to you all!
Good care for pets by vet Nick Smith and his team. Professional and caring.
Very good with our dog and staff are super friendly.
Brilliant vets, so helpful and accommodating. We feel lucky to have found them and cannot recommend them enough.
Managed to get my pet looked at same day excellent vets.
GOOD WITH RABBITS! Thank you for taking such good, kind care of my beautiful bunny. For anyone looking for an understanding, gentle and competent rabbit vet I have had consistently good experiences here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
We have been visiting this vet for the last ten years and never received anything but kindness and attention. Our elderly Brittany contracted an eye infection and despite all our panic Nick Smith and his excellent team saw us through some of the worst days of pet ownership. Purdey is now much better and although she has lost the sight in her right eye she is as mischievous as ever.
Brilliant care of our pet and would happily recommend to all.
Very caring and friendly.
