To all our dear and loyal Pet Parents,

We are very grateful for your patience and consideration during these difficult times. We appreciate how difficult it has been for you to maintain contact with the Surgery and whilst ensuring the well being of your nearest and dearest fluffy companions.

It is with some relief and a certain amount of caution that we are to put in place a phased return to the “New Normal”.

Following the Government’s relaxation of the Lock Down guidelines we will be able to increase our range of professional and health care services. We will be contacting owners whose pet’s vaccinations are imminent or recently overdue and can offer those important surgeries including essential dentistry, lump and bump removals and x-ray investigations.

We have important safety and social distancing measures in place to ensure both your and our staff’s safety and well being during this period. In order to facilitate this please contact the surgery to discuss your requirements and arrange an appointment to see the vet’s and nurses.

In the short term we will still have a closed door policy but hope to open reception and the waiting room for limited access soon.

To All Our Dear and Loyal Clients

It is with huge sadness that we have to advise that at this time of unprecedented health, social, and economic turmoil,  PetCare Veterinary Clinic has taken the regrettable decision to reduce staffing levels, opening times and minimise social contact.

The health and wellbeing of our patients, staff and wider community is paramount.

For the immediate future, the surgery will open between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday (bank holidays may differ), for the purpose of  the collection of medicines, prescriptions, pet food and for essential veterinary consultations only.

Outside of these times our colleagues at Fitzalan House Veterinary Surgery in Littlehampton will be available for emergencies.

Please bear with us during these exceptional times, such that we can continue to provide the best possible care for you and your pets.

Our aim is to to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 corona virus, and would like to take this opportunity to re-assure our clients that we are taking necessary measures very seriously.

Our main concern at this challenging time is to ensure the safety of our staff and clients while continuing to be here for your pets.

  • For medication and diet orders, we ask that you do not come to the practice and enter the building. Please call the practice to discuss your requirements. You will be asked to pre pay over the telephone for items ready for collection and book a time to collect your items, which will be available in our porch area at your designated time. Please be mindful of other people’s space within the porch area.
  • Please remember food and a variety of other items can be ordered via our on line store:

What we ask of you

  • Should you feel unwell with any symptoms of COVID-19 coronavirus, such as persistent cough, fever, or shortness of breath, or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, please do not come to the practice or enter the building. Please check the current government and NHS advice at and
  • Should your pet become unwell during a period of self isolation, or if any of your household are self-isolating or you have been in contact with a person who is self isolating, please do not come to the practice or enter the building. Please call the practice on 01903 782387 and we can arrange a telephone call from one of our vets to determine the best course of action.

Consult fees will apply and you will be asked for electronic payment at the end of your consultation. Reception will also arrange a time for you to collect any treatment recommended by the vet, from our porch area, at a designated time.

  • Equally, if you are concerned you are in a vulnerable group at risk of serious complications from COVID-19 coronavirus and are concerned about attending the practice, please call us to discuss your concerns so we can determine a suitable way to care for your pet(s).
  • When arriving at the practice for your appointment, please notify us by phone and wait outside. You will be asked to leave your pet with us for a physical exam. Following this exam, the vet will call you to discuss the best course of action for your pet and make collection arrangements.
  • We are now asking for electronic payments only to avoid handling cash payments.
