COVID-19  Coronavirus UPDATE 27/03/2020

To All Our Dear and Loyal Clients

*** Our opening times are temporarily changing ***

It is with huge sadness that we have to advise that at this time of unprecedented health, social, and economic turmoil,  PetCare Veterinary Clinic has taken the regrettable decision to reduce staffing levels, opening times and minimise social contact.

The health and wellbeing of our patients, staff and wider community is paramount.

For the immediate future, the surgery will open between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday (bank holidays may differ), for the purpose of  the collection of medicines, prescriptions, pet food and for essential veterinary consultations only.

Outside of these times our colleagues at Fitzalan House Veterinary Surgery in Littlehampton will be available for emergencies.

Please bear with us during these exceptional times, such that we can continue to provide the best possible care for you and your pets.

Stay safe, Stay well, and Stay healthy.

Our aim is to to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 corona virus, and would like to take this opportunity to re-assure our clients that we are taking necessary measures very seriously.

Our main concern at this challenging time is to ensure the safety of our staff and clients while continuing to be here for your pets.

  • For medication and diet orders, we ask that you do not come to the practice and enter the building. Please call the practice to discuss your requirements. You will be asked to pre pay over the telephone for items ready for collection and book a time to collect your items, which will be available in our porch area at your designated time. Please be mindful of other people’s space within the porch area.
  • Please remember food and a variety of other items can be ordered via our on line store: https://petcarerustington.myvetstore.co.uk/

What we ask of you

  • Should you feel unwell with any symptoms of COVID-19 coronavirus, such as persistent cough, fever, or shortness of breath, or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, please do not come to the practice or enter the building. Please check the current government and NHS advice at https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-governmentresponse and https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
  • Should your pet become unwell during a period of self isolation, or if any of your household are self-isolating or you have been in contact with a person who is self isolating, please do not come to the practice or enter the building. Please call the practice on 01903 782387 and we can arrange a telephone call from one of our vets to determine the best course of action.

Consult fees will apply and you will be asked for electronic payment at the end of your consultation. Reception will also arrange a time for you to collect any treatment recommended by the vet, from our porch area, at a designated time.

  • Equally, if you are concerned you are in a vulnerable group at risk of serious complications from COVID-19 coronavirus and are concerned about attending the practice, please call us to discuss your concerns so we can determine a suitable way to care for your pet(s).
  • When arriving at the practice for your appointment, please notify us by phone and wait outside. You will be asked to leave your pet with us for a physical exam. Following this exam, the vet will call you to discuss the best course of action for your pet and make collection arrangements.
  • We are now asking for electronic payments only to avoid handling cash payments.

We thank you for your support, understanding and co-operation in advance.

Friendly, sincere staff. Nicolas is an excellent vet. I would recommend him to all. He really does give excellent customer care to pets and owners alike. The practice even sent me a sympathy card after my last dog passed away. I highly recommend this practice.

Pet Care have been looking after our Cocker puppy, Joe, since we got him six weeks ago and everyone has been a delight to work with. Joe came from a pretty awful breeder, just in it for the money, but the team at Pet Care have him bouncing around chasing anything that moves in the garden. A lovely team. :)

Steve Hooper

Outstanding vets. My dog (Ziggi) has had a multitude of health issues since a puppy and I have had to frequently move to different parts of the country over her lifetime. This means I have dealt with my fair share of vets, some amazing and some not so great. Petcare vets are among the best. They are professional, knowledgeable and caring. They listen to your concerns and perform thorough examinations. All the options are clearly explained. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you and keep up the awesome work.

Jonathan Naylor

Brilliant vets, so helpful and accommodating. We feel lucky to have found them and cannot recommend them enough.

Natalie Montagnani

3 years ago the whole team were wonderfully sympathetic and caring when we had our gorgeous dog Murphy put to sleep. Everything was handled beautifully. We still feel huge gratitude.

Jane Vrettos

Good care for pets by vet Nick Smith and his team. Professional and caring.

Andrew Kelly

GOOD WITH RABBITS! Thank you for taking such good, kind care of my beautiful bunny. For anyone looking for an understanding, gentle and competent rabbit vet I have had consistently good experiences here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

My cat went missing and I phoned around everywhere to see if she had been found. The lady I spoke to at this vets was very helpful and gave me lots of people to ring and spent time with me to try and ease my mind. Thankfully she was found locked in my neighbours garage. I just want to say a huge thank you for your support even though I am not a customer of yours.
